Welcome to 3rd Grade

Dear Third Grade Parents,

I am looking forward to working with your children this year. I encourage you to become involved in the classroom and school activities. School is an exciting place for a third grader and your child should enjoy sharing with you the events of the day. Please take the time to listen, to read the daily learning logs, and to sign the homework assignment sheets. This will keep you updated on your child's experiences, activities, and learning. If you have questions or concerns about your child please feel free to call me at school (825-3113) or email me at Lperry@blackfoot.net. Again, I am looking forward to teaching your child and learning from him or her.

Sincerely,

Lydia Perry

About Mrs. Perry

Hello. My name is Lydia Perry and I just wanted to introduce myself. Even though this is my first year teaching in a traditional classroom, I have been in the teaching profession for ten years. I graduated from a small university in Ohio, where I received a B.A. in Education. From there, I moved to Seattle where I taught preschool. And as the journey of life continued, Missoula was the next destination. In Missoula, I was lovingly dubbed, “The School Marm,” for the Missoula Youth Homes for four years. It probably doesn’t help that I wear glasses and like to wear my hair in a bun! During that time, and currently, I work for Sylvan Learning Center. Through the Literacy/ Library Grant of 2007-2008, not only was the Clinton library able to updated and revamped, but I was able to become the literacy specialist and provide services to individual students. Now, teaching your third grader has become my passion!
