General Information
Library books.
Library books may be kept for one week. Library day is on Thursday this year, so
all books should be back by Thursday morning.
Gym Shoes.
Gym shoes are required for gym class. You do not need to buy new shoes. An old pair
that has been washed will be fine.
Birthdays .
Your child is very welcome to bring treats on his or her birthday. Also, please
remember, if you are sending birthday party invitations to school, there must be
one for each child in the class.
Folders.
Your child will bring home a folder every night. Please check it daily for notes,
homework, school notices etc. You may use these to send in lunch money and notes
to me. Your child needs to bring his/her folder back every morning.
Homework.
Homework will be sent home one or two nights a week. You can help your child remember
homework by checking their folders every night. Homework will be due back the next
day.
Spelling.
Your child will bring home a spelling pre-test every Monday. It’s always a good
idea to practice the words and sentences each night. Spelling tests will be on Friday.
On occasion (short weeks, holidays) this schedule will change. I’ll let you know
when this occurs.
