Instructional Coach

Clinton School is looking for a full time Instructional Coach who will support our teachers in their instructional goals to engage students to become lifelong learners based on our school wide goals and the Common Core standards.

 

Job Duties:   

  • Support teachers in setting instructional goals and implementation plans that line up to our Cougar Instructional Framework

  • Create professional development that supports the school goals and differentiates to meet the needs of each individual teacher

  • Perform classroom observations, modeling and co-teaching strategies with teachers that include best practices and maximize teaching of literacy instructional strategies

  • Support teachers in PDSA cycles to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of all learners

  • Provide instructional resources to staff 

  • Communicate with principal weekly about current standings and next steps

  • Facilitate data discussions related to school assessments fall, winter, and spring

  • Support teachers in the use of data binders to track student learning

  • Assist with progress monitoring as needed

  • Manage testing schedules and create spreadsheet with data each year

  • Meet regularly with grade level bands and individual teachers to support instruction based on data using the MTSS system (gifted, Title, etc.)  

  • Will participate in personal learning opportunities such as workshops, conferences, book studies, etc.  

  • Serve as a member of the school Leadership Team; as a key driver of the school Action Plan 

  • Communicate with consultants and OPI to coordinate site visit agendas

  • Other duties as assigned
